Carwow has once again brought two heavily tuned Japanese sports cars to the drag strip – a modern Supra went up against an extremely beefed-up Nissan Silvia S15 dating back to the late 1990s–early 2000s.
The A90 Supra squeezes 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) out of its 3.0-liter turbo six-cylinder engine, a sizable improvement over the stock 382 PS (377 hp / 281 kW). Even more noteworthy is the fact that the owner paid as little as 7,640 USD for the upgrade.
In turn, the Silvia driver splurged no less than $102,000 on the tune-up. The engine was stroked from 2 to 2.2 liters of displacement and equipped with a massive aftermarket turbocharger. After these and numerous other modifications, the output skyrocketed from the standard 274 PS (270 hp / 202 kW) to around 700 PS (690 hp / 515 kW).
Do you think the ultimate Silvia has what it takes to show the new Supra the taillights?
