Video: This Nissan Skyline is the most silent drift car we’ve seen

Watch this R32 Skyline performing drift stunts. Aside from the squealing tires, there are no engine sounds to be heard. What could be the reason? A Tesla engine under the hood, naturally.

Zero EV – a store located in Bristol, USA – began building the nature-friendly drift car in 2018. It pieced the traction battery together from several Chevrolet Volt batteries (capacity not specified) and connected these to the Tesla motor. The peak performance of the system amounts to 500 hp (373 kW) and 1,000+ Nm (750+ lb-ft) of torque.

The team claims it can convert any car to electric power – and this sounds realistic, given that ZERO EV already has an electric VW Beetle and Porsche 911 in its portfolio.
