Have you seen this Nissan Skyline GT-R Speedwagon already?

Precious few car aficionados out there will dedicate themselves to converting a purebred sports car – like the Nissan Skyline R33 GT-R – into a family hauler. But rest assured: this oldie will let many of its modern cousins smell the exhaust.

The reason lies in an extensive drivetrain upgrade that can send north of 1,000 horsepower (745 kilowatts) to the wheels. The Speedwagon needs 11.89 seconds to cover a quarter-mile distance, and 1 minute 4 seconds for a lap of Tsukuba Raceway in Japan. No wonder it has those Endless brakes and a Top Secret aerodynamic kit.

Back to the body, though. The rear end has been extended using the removable roof module of the Nissan EXA. As far as we know, it is no longer removable, and the installation involved hundreds of hours of work.

Inside the Skyline GT-R R33 Speedwagon are Recaro bucket seats wrapped in red fabric and wash-leather, and a safety frame is present as well.
