Nissan has officially introduced its next-gen Sylphy compact sedan/saloon in China. Also known as the Sentra in some markets, the car has an extremely low aerodynamic drag coefficient of just 0.26, which makes it as good as the GT-R supercar in terms of air resistance.
Compared to its predecessor, the new Sylphy sports angular headlights, a black radiator grille with a V-shaped trim element, and restyled taillights.
There is now a 7-inch color display sitting between the tachometer and the odometer that provides status information on certain car units and functions. The Nissan Sylphy also packs an infotainment system with an 8-inch display of its own, voice control and advanced connectivity.
Among other things, the company claims it has made substantial improvements to the suspension and steering of the car – and even given it a next-gen engine coupled with an iVT. No further details are available right now, unfortunately.
Wrapping up the announcement is the list of safety features the new Sylphy arrives with: blind spot monitor, AEB, and lane control.
