Nissan Teana refreshed with Huawei’s digital cockpit, more features

Nissan has posted the first official photos of its China-bound Teana sedan facelift. The interior remains to be revealed, but we are told that the biggest change there will come in the form of a high-end infotainment system from Huawei, previously restricted to premium hybrids and EVs. It will go on sale before the end of the year.

Based on Nissan’s official comment, Huawei provides the entire multimedia suite for the new Teana. This includes a state-of-the-art Intelligent Cockpit dash running on HarmonySpace 5.0 operating system and a matching audio system.

All technical parameters are pending, but the sedan has already been partially registered in the country’s certification database. According to it, the car is 4,920 mm (192.2 inches) long with 2,825 mm (110.4 inches) between the ales – that’s a fair bit bigger than before the update.

The old 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine mated to a CVT for 243 PS (240 hp / 179 kW) and 371 Nm (274 lb-ft) of torque seemingly carries over without major changes. Rumors are trickling in that the base spec will have 144 PS (142 hp / 106 kW) instead of the pre-facelift version’s 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW), but this remains to be confirmed. All assembly will be handled by the local Dongfeng-Nissan factory, as usual.

A glance at the photos make it clear that the 2026 Nissan Teana takes a major detour from its original design. The V-shaped front fascia is still there, but has a new layout, the bumpers and the lights all around are different, too, and the exterior color palette now includes two-tone finish options.
