Nissan unveils the Terrano Sport Edition in India

The Indian subdivision of Nissan Motor Company Ltd. has revealed a new, sporty-looking version of the Terrano crossover SUV. The vehicle will be sold at the equivalent of U.S. $18,000 and above.

Novelty in the Sport Edition series will be limited to purely optical changes. There are going to be plastic wheel arch panels, railings and pillars painted black, and dark red stripes on the front fenders and the hood cover. One prominent feature is a pair of new LED headlights that extend past the radiator grille.

The standard equipment list includes an infotainment system with a touchscreen, two airbags, powered side mirrors, ABS, EBD and a set of 16-inch wheels.

Just like its normal counterpart, the Nissan Terrano Sport Edition comes equipped with a 1.5-liter diesel engine good for 110 hp (82 kW) and a five-speed manual gear switch. Other options include a gasoline engine with 104 hp (77.5 kW) and a weaker diesel rated at 85 hp (63 kW).
