Video: Nissan Z spotted close up in production body

In a recent announcement, Nissan set the premiere of the Z production car on August 17, 2021. The sporty coupe should look close to the Z Proto concept revealed late last year, but in the meantime, let’s check out the latest spy video showing it up close.

The footage was reportedly filmed in Arizona and features two cars, one completely concealed by a brown cover and the other wrapped in camo. Even so, no amount of disguise can hide just how much both cars look like the Z Proto.

Powertrain-wise, industry observers expect the new Z to ship with a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 rated at over 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW). The same engine powers the Infiniti Q60, mated to a manual transmission and RWD system. Going automatic is an option, too.

Nissan said the production model would inherit most of its interior styling from the concept, so large digital dashboard and infotainment screens are pretty much guaranteed.
