Straight after introducing the Nissan Z Proto, the automaker hinted that a high-performance version would be coming soon. According to Best Car, the new Z Nismo will debut at the annual Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2022.
While the information is unofficial and the show is mainly dedicated to aftermarket and tuning, major international premieres still take place there from time to time, so it seems plausible.
In turn, U.S. media are reporting that the Z Nismo will sport suspension and steering improvements over the standsrd Z model, as well as heavy-duty brakes and larger 20-inch wheels. An engine boost could also be on the list.
As for the standard Nissan Z, it will celebrate its reveal in New York on August 17, 2021. It is official that the car gets a V6 rated at 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) and two transmission options – six-speed M/T and nine-speed A/T.
