Track-prepped Nissan Z set to debut in June

Two racing teams – Nismo and Max Racing – will pilot the new Nissan Z to victory in the ST-Q category of the Fuji 24 Hours race coming up on June 4-5, 2022.

Nismo does not reveal what specific upgrades its car has undergone. The two photos thus far revealed show a ventilated hood with large slits and a stripped cabin with a roll cage.

The track-oriented Z coupe rides on Nismo eight-spoke wheels and rocks larger brakes than its mass-market counterpart does (see video). There is a rear wing in the back along with a small spoiler. The rear end remains largely hidden from view, although you can catch a glimpse of an obviously enlarged diffuser.

In its stock guise, the new Z comes equipped with a twin-turbo V6 capable of 405 PS (400 hp / 298 kW) and 475 Nm (350 lb-ft) of torque. It goes 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in under five seconds.
