Video: New Nissan Z sounds slightly angrier with Borla exhaust upgrade

When the next-gen Nissan Z premiered, many found the soundtrack produced by its 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 downright sleep-inducing. Borla fixes it with its impending upgrade, which is featured in the two videos below.

Judging by these videos, the difference is not drastic, but distinctly audible. The Z still has a long way to go if it wants to match the sound profile of, say, the new A90 Supra V6, but not everyone is obsessed with pops and cracks. It is also worth pointing out how the sound changes when the optional automatic gearbox switches gears – we have heard something like this on recent Volkswagens with dual-clutch auto boxes.

All pricing and availability info remains to be disclosed. Since the SEMA show in Las-Vegas starts in just a couple of months, we expect Borla to launch it no later than that date.
