Nissan is attending this year’s SEMA with a concept car based on the latest Z model and inspired by the Datsun 240Z that won the East African Safari Rally in 1971.
Dubbed the Safari Rally Z Tribute, the coupe boasts six floodlights, a livery inspired by that of the victorious 240Z, modified suspension with 51 mm (2 inches) of added ground clearance, and 17-inch wheels wrapped in Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003.
The interior gets bucket seats, a half-a-century-old map of the EASR route, a remote control for the exterior lighting, and navigation hardware.
Power comes from a 3.0-liter V6 tuned to 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW). No further details have been revealed.
