The cost of the transaction between the French group of PSA Group company and American General Motors constituted €2,2 billion. From this moment PSA is the second-large automobile concern in Europe, it is bypassed in the market only by German Volkswagen group.
It is reported that the transaction did good to all parties. So, GM managed to get rid of the European assets,bringing losses in the last 20 years. Except overtaking the competitor Renault SA in a market, PSA Group strengthened its position in German market.
Against the background of messages on sale of Opel share, PSA Group showed an increase of 3 percent.
