The camera-wielding, car-spotting crowd has tracked down a new Opel Astra running its pre-production tests in what looks like its final body design.
Opel greenlit the new Astra after joining the Peugeot-Citroen alliance. The car takes after the GT X Experimental Concept (see video). It rocks a Visor front fascia and a clean-looking rear.
The manufacturer intends to use an updated version of its EMP2 platform and release an Astra PHEV in addition to the main ICE spec. Customers will also be able to choose between FWD and AWD.
