Opel Manta to hit production in 2025

Opel resurrected one of its most iconic past models – the Manta – as an electric car with retro looks last year. It was a huge success among fans, so the company decided to mass-produce it starting from 2025.

A representative of the Opel Press Center made the corresponding statement. In its modern interpretation, the Manta will run on electric power, be “very emotional” and boast class-leading acceleration along with plentiful interior room.

The revival will be shaped like a high-riding four-door coupe running on the STLA Medium platform by Stellantis. The rest remains to be announced. Rumors claim the electric powertrain will combine two electric motors for an output exceeding 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW).

The same press release mentions that the next-gen Crossland and Insignia models will also go all-electric.
