Opel started taking pre-orders for its newest electric SUV – the Mokka-e – on September 22, and while the cars won’t ship until next spring, the company reports selling out its entire production batch planned until September 2021.
Prices start at €32,990 for the base trim in Germany. The First Edition starts from €34,110, Elegance from €37,300, GS Line from €38,980, and Ultimate from €41,220. The first two trims are sold out a year in advance.
Germany is the single best market for the Mokka-e, because buyers there get €9,570 deduced from the price thanks to government subsidies. This drops the base price to mere €23,420. The technically related Peugeot e-2008 model is way more expensive in comparison with €37,000 and above.
Groupe PSA produces the Opel Mokka-e along with the DS 3 Crossback in Poissy, France. The local factory can make no more than 175,000 annual cars.
