The world of discreet car photography is far from precise science. Rare visual clues, rumors and leaks enable us to guess what lies beneath the camouflage most of the time. And then there are times like this.
The vehicle on the images decidedly looks like a compact crossover SUV, but its brand identity is vague at best. The overall profile, the headlights and taillights look like those of the Opel Mokka. The simple answer would be “Opel Mokka”, but truth could be more interesting than that.
The issue is, the latest-gen Mokka only debuted in 2021 and is not even ripe for a mild facelift. Furthermore, when you have a closer look at the numerous fake body panels used, you will realize it is most likely a test mule, an impostor wearing a Mokka-esque body.
Our best guess is Fiat Uno revival. Rumors that a new, small-displacement version of the Uno is coming to the market have been going around for a while now. The new compact will probably be based on the same CMP architecture as the Mokka, the Peugeot 2008, the Citroen C4 and the DS3 Crossback. All four are reasonably up-to-date, so it makes sense to base the resurrected Uno on the same tech.
