The 2023 Opel Mokka-e will be officially known under the name ‘Mokka Electric’ and benefit from a number of drivetrain improvements.
Most importantly, the battery size will go up from 50 to 54 kilowatt-hours. Along with other optimizations, this will let you drive the car for 406 kilometers (252 miles) of WLTP-rated range, a significant improvement over the 338 km (210 miles) from earlier. Replenishing 80 percent of the charge will be a matter of roughly 30 minutes at a sufficiently powerful charging station.
Aside from the battery, the update concerns the front-axle electric motor. Its power goes up from the original 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW) to 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW). The torque stays fixed at 260 Nm (192 lb-ft), though, and the acceleration dynamics remains largely unchanged, the company says.
