Opel Mokka bows in Europe, starts under €27k

The refreshed Opel Mokka sports a new, chrome-free look and an improved interior. You can already preorder it from €26,740.

A revised bumper now lacking fog lights, new headlight patterns and an updated Opel badge sum up the changes at the front end. All trims now ship with their chrome bits replaced with black ones.

Inside, the steering wheel is squared off and the center console houses new switches borrowed from the latest Grandland. The physical controls are less prominent all around than before, but a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen now comes included as standard (up from 7 inches). The system itself benefits from better hardware and voice assistant features, including ChatGPT-enabled navigation.

Customers in Europe can still order their Mokka with a 1.2-liter engine under the hood rated at 136 PS (134 hp / 100 kW). The mild-hybrid version adding a 28-PS (21-hp / 21-kW) motor to the engine mentioned above is also available, as is a pure EV. The latter relies on a single motor driving the wheels with 156 PS (154 hp / 115 kW) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. A 54-kWh traction battery provides up to 403 kilometers (250 miles) of driving range per charge.
