French specialist car company Dangel has announced the forthcoming mass production of Opel Zafira Life vans equipped with a rather sophisticated all-wheel drive system. The same company had previously installed similar upgrades on the Peugeot Travelle and the Citroen SpaceTourer.
The Opel Zafira Life 4x4 by Dangel features a custom driveline, a transfer case and a Viscodrive limited-slip rear differential. The driver gets access to three selectable modes: Eco (FWD), Auto 4WD (AWD), and R.Lock (for serious off-road conditions).
Aside from this, the modded Zafira boasts armored engine and transmission and is available with a 40-millimter (1.6-inch) suspension lift kit. Engine choices are limited to just the two standard diesel units (1.5 and 2.0 liters of displacement).
Sales in Europe begin this autumn. Prices will be announced later.
