Opel Zafira-e Life covers 200 miles in motorhome flavor

The electric camper market is booming in Europe and the world, and the recently revealed Crosscamp Flex based on the Opel Zafira-e Life is ready to compete for customers’ wallets with some impressive stats.

The all-electric van comes equipped with two batteries. The traction battery pack holds up to 75 kilowatt-hours of power and translates into 322 kilometers (200 miles) of WLTP-rated driving. Plugging into a sufficiently powerful charging station replenishes 80 percent of the charge within 48 minutes.

Another battery is even larger at 95 kWh and powers the appliances on board, including a fridge, lighting and numerous driving assists. The exterior of the vehicle looks stock (watch the video and compare for yourself) except for the added roof tent. Inside, owners will find two beds, swiveling front seats and a well-appointed kitchen with a sink and a gas stove.

Safety aids on board include frontal collision warning, AEB, lane control, drowsiness alert, and traffic sign recognition.
