Great Wall’s Ora brand has launched the Lightning Cat in China. According to Dongchedi, the five-door liftback starts from 189,800 Yuan in its most basic spec.
The car is 4,871 mm (190.3 inches) long and has 2,870 mm (112.1 inches) of wheelbase. In China, it will be available with one and two electric motors to choose from. The entry-level version has a single front-axle motor with 204 PS (201 hp / 150 kW) and 340 Nm (251 lb-ft) of torque. The AWD top spec commands 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) of torque. It also needs just 4.3 seconds to conclude the sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph).
Trim-wise, customers will choose from four trim levels going all the way up to 269,800 Yuan. The driving range options are 555, 600 and 705 kilometers, which translates into 345, 373 and 438 miles, respectively.
On its domestic market, the hatchback comes equipped with a state-of-the-art infotainment system based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and an advanced self-driving system. The latter comprises 28 sensing devices, including 10 cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars. Three cameras in the cabin will monitor the situation inside, including the driver’s drowsiness levels.
