Ora, a Great Wall Motor company, has announced its intention to make its Lightning Cat EV available in Europe. According to Auto Express UK, the model will be called ‘07’ outside of its domestic market.
In the manufacturer’s product lineup in Great Britain, the Lightning Cat/07 will be positioned higher than the Funky Cat EV and reside in the same segment as the Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 6, among others. Combining a Porsche-like front end with a Bentley-style rear, the Chinese model obviously caters to the tastes of premium car buyers. Its interior design, particularly the large infotainment display in the middle, resembles that of the marque’s smaller hatchback EV.
In China, the Ora Lightning Car is being offered with an 83.5-kWh traction battery and dual electric motors outputting 400+ horsepower (300 kilowatts) combined. It is quite possible that Great Britain will be getting a wider selection of powertrains.
