Overland-E unveils an EV with 1,200+ kilometers of range

British startup Overland-E has introduced its latest electric car concept, a crossover SUV named Generation 2. The vehicle sports a buggy-like design and offers record-breaking 1,207 km (750 miles) of driving range on a charge. The company claims the production will begin as soon as next year.

Two modifications will be made for urban and off-road driving, Overland-E CEO says adding that he hopes to attract the attention of military customers and rally racing teams.

A production-ready sample should debut in late 2021, and manufacturing will be handled by factories in the UK and the USA. Technical details remain to be announced, but the young company’s first model came based on classical VW Beetle underpinnings.
