Pagani takes the extreme Huayra Dragon out for some tests

A while ago, a rumor cropped up that Pagani was working on a special version of its Huayra hypercar, which would be even stronger than the regular Huayra and come out in an even smaller batch. This footage, which shows a masked-up Huayra on a test drive in Italy, seems to confirm the speculations.

It is believed that the special series will be called ‘Dragon’ and consist of only 5 copies, one of which has already been pre-ordered by TopCar Design.

Based on the video, the extreme vehicle sports an ever more brutal-looking body kit than its predecessor, notably including a roof scoop, side sills, a massive air wing, a wide Le-Mans-style rear diffuser, and a deep-set front splitter.

The Dragon will most probably ship with the same engine as the Huayra BC, namely the twice-turbocharged AMG V12. That said, its standard output of 745 horsepower (556 kilowatts) and 1,100 Newton-meters (811 pound-feet) of torque may get a boost in the special edition.
