Pagani looking into SUV segment, wants ‘something radical’ after 2025

Horatio Pagani, CEO and founder of Italian supercar marque Pagani Automobili S.p.A., has let it slip that the senior management of the company has been weighing the pros and cons of launching its first SUV model.

Speaking in a recent interview, he pointed out that the company wanted to unveil ‘something radical’ after year 2025. Pagani’s first-ever SUV, priced at €3,000,000 or above, is a valid option, among others.

He added that, if the project gets greenlit, it will most likely require cooperation with Mercedes-Benz, since the German automotive giant has extensive knowledge in this market segment and could provide the basic architecture for the car.

Right now, the company is busy developing a successor to its Huayra hypercar (depicted here). The new vehicle will ship in two variants: traditional (Mercedes V12) and all-electric.
