Pagani Huayra makes nearly 5,000 km in three days

Bob, from the United States, felt like testing his $2,500,000 Pagani Huayra roadster for long-range survivability. He proceeded to drive it for approximately 3,000 miles (more than 4,700 kilometers) within three days. According to him, the hypercar didn’t break down once during the almost non-stop trip.

Bob drove his Huayra from one U.S. coast to another, reporting on his progress in the social media and posting photos from the roadside cafes and the local landmarks. If there was one thing that could be improved, in our opinion, then it was the fuel use statistics (and the involved costs). A hypercar with twelve cylinders, six liters of displacement and 754 hp (562 kW) at the crank is not what you would call a fuel-efficient vehicle, after all.

Pagani has recently presented the Imola, an extreme version of the Huayra commissioned by Russian tuner TopCar Design. It is reported that the two-door hyper coupe received an improved engine with 800 hp (596 kW) and 1,100 Nm (811 pound-feet) of torque, enabling it to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.7 seconds.
