Horatio Pagani has announced a performance version of the Huayra. The ‘R’ variant of the hypercar will likely be track-only, and will be coming with a non-turbo twelve-cylinder engine rated close 800 hp (596 kW). The numbers are not official yet.
Pagani promised to reveal more on November 12. In the meantime, he said the new naturally aspirated engine would be coming to replace the twin-turbocharged AMG V12 6.0. He never mentioned the origins of the new one.
If the car is indeed not street-legal, then it will have to compete against the likes of Aston Martin Vulcan and Lamborghini Essenza SCV12.
