Following the unveiling of its Huayra R hypercar powered by a naturally aspirated variant of the otherwise twin-turbo’d V12, Pagani revealed a few other details.
The powertrain has been designed by Mercedes-AMG with backing from HWA AG, a company specializing in the production of racing engines and tires. Back in its time, the company designed the 780-hp (582-kW), 6.3-liter V12 engine for the Apollo Intensa Emozione.
Unconfirmed sources claim that the Huayra R is the ultimate track tool capable of outputting over 900 hp (671 kW) and rev up to 9,500 RPM.
We will learn more on November 12.
