Restored Pagani Zonda wreck fetches $5,885,000+ at an auction

Silverstone Auction House sold a unique Pagani Zonda Riviera supercar for a fabulous amount of money a couple days ago. Let us see what is so special about it.

The car started its life as a yellow Zonda F coupe and get into a serious accident four years ago. The wreck was sent back to Pagani for large-scale restoration. The company decided to up the ante and rebuilt it into a one-off model called the Riviera.

The white-and-blue supercar boasts visual carbon inserts, a roof scoop, a front splitter and a rear spoiler. No wonder its new owner, who preferred to remain anonymous, felt compelled to dish out slightly above U.S. $5,880,000 for it.

The Pagani Zonda Riviera comes powered by a 7.3-liter Mercedes-AMG V12 engine rated at 760 hp (750 hp, 553 kW), linked to a six-speed manual transmission.
