These photos featuring the next generation of the Peugeot 208 hatchback are quickly gaining popularity online. There are numerous changes both in the exterior and the cabin that we would like to point out.
The body of the updated car looks sportier owing to new sculpted sides and hood cover. It also sports LED headlights and 508-style ‘fangs’ in front.
The interior of the next Peugeot 208 also looks largely different from that of its predecessor. It still remains true to the i-Cockpit design philosophy in places, but has most of its elements styled in a new way. In particular, the central display now sits in a special niche, the air vents are now in a different locations, and the dashboard trim is new.
As mentioned above, the Peugeot 208 family will expand to incorporate an all-electric version. The car will most likely end up with a drivetrain consisting of a 136-hp (101-kW) engine and a 50-kWh tracti0on battery, and will offer around 300 km (185 miles) of all-electric driving range. The current DS3 Crossback E-Tense ships with the same drivetrain.
