French automaker Peugeot has completed building a custom expedition sports utility vehicle for the Top Gear team. The car uses the tech platform of the standard 3008 GT Line crossover (featured in the video).
The GT Line spec ships with a 1.6-liter gasoline engine rated at 181 hp (135 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed transmission is tasked with delivering the torque to the front wheels.
In terms of visual appearance, the one-off SUV sports an original body graphics, 17-inch stainless-steel wheels wrapped in Cooper AT3 tires, a front underguard, and a range of expedition accessories. The latter includes an aluminum roof box fitted with LED lights, a collapsible tent, and a bike rack.
Top Gear has already successfully tested the car on the northern part of the Ho Chi Minh trail in Vietnam.
