Stellantis prepares production of 4 new cars in Europe

The Stellantis factory in Melfi, Italy, is undergoing preparation for the production of four new cars, with the start scheduled for the next year.

Right now, the industrial complex churns out the Fiat 500X, the Jeep Compass and the Jeep Renegade. New vehicles will be mostly electric crossovers based on the STLA Medium platform, an evolution of the current EMP2 architecture.

It is believed that the next-gen Peugeot 3008 will be the first to roll off the assembly lines in late 2023. The same model will be later cloned by Lancia, Opel and DS brands. The DS e-SUV will be inspired by the Aero Sport Lounge Concept first revealed in 2020 (see the gallery and the video).
