Spy photos of the next-generation Peugeot 3008 have surfaced online, showing the compact CUV running pre-production tests in a summertime environment. The main design changes are still camouflaged, but some conclusions can be made.
For one thing, the new body has simple and straight side outlines, a sharp contrast with the curvy and complex current version (see video). A closer look at the front fascia reveals that the headlights have become slimmer.
At the back, the manufacturer must have wanted us to think it is a generic SUV, because there is a fake panel there concealing the slanted roof. The car itself is actually a coupe-like crossover.
As for the interior, it has ceased to be a mystery since June, when Peugeot introduced the latest design iteration of its i-cockpit cabin and confirmed that the new 3008 would be the first to get it.
The premiere remains scheduled for September.
