After rolling out a mid-cycle update for the 308 hatchback and wagon, Peugeot introduces a new trim version called Roadtrip, which obviously targets travel enthusiasts.
The Roadtrip takes the high-end Allure Pack spec as the starting point and adds 16-inch Zircon wheels, tinted rear glass, special badges, and a special interior trim made up from Alcantara and fine fabric. There are diamond patterns on the cloth part, and customers can choose between Tramontane Grey and Sunset Orange for the stitching color. Aside from the seats, the stylish stitching can be found on the steering wheel, the doors, the gear selector, the front armrest, and the floor mats. Aluminum pedal pads provide a nice finishing touch.
Standard features include adaptive cruise control, AEB, traffic sign and pedestrian recognition, lane control, navigation, keyless entry and ignition, a reversing camera, and a driver alertness monitor. Paid ones make up for a long list, but parking assist, blind zone monitor and trailer assist are the main highlights.
The Peugeot 308 Roadtrip can be ordered with a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine under the hood, which outputs 130 hp (97 kW) and 230 Nm (170 lb-ft) of torque. Alternatively, you could grab a 1.5-liter turbo diesel version with the same 130 hp (97 kW), but superior 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque. Transmissions are six-speed manual and eight-speed auto in both cases.
