French car manufacturing company Peugeot is preparing to release the facelifted 408 sedan series in China. The vehicle will celebrate its live premiere on August 13, 2018, and we can look at some official photos in the meantime.
It is worth pointing out that the new generation will only be available in China for the time being, because the old one is still on sale in many countries.
The new Peugeot 408 gets redesigned bumpers, hood, and radiator grille. Its fog lamps and rear lights have also been reworked.
The interior remains the same, with the only exception being a new seat upholstery option (beige imitation leather).
The engine palette includes three entries: a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter engine capable of almost 140 hp (103 kW), a 1.2L turbo with 136 hp (100 kW), and a 1.6 turbo with 167 hp (125 kW). Customers may choose either a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
Prices will be announced in a few days. The previous model cost U.S. $19,000 in China.
