New Peugeot 508 caught on camera

Spy photographers have managed to get some pictures of the next-generation Peugeot 508 sedan. Unfortunately, these are pretty low-quality, but we can still see that the car gets to inherit at least some of its design elements from the Instinct concept demonstrated to the public a year ago. This is the case with its rear lights, for example.

The novelty will be based on the EMP2 car platform and come equipped with a wide variety of hi-tech systems and features, including an advanced self-driving tech equally capable of driving the car completely unattended in an urban environment and on an interstate highway.

The engine palette of the new Peugeot 508 isn’t being revealed yet, but, given the current trend toward environmental friendliness, it would be reasonable to expect a hybrid version.

Peugeot will debut its updated 508 model at the 88th International Motor Show in Geneva, Switzerland on March 8 – 18, 2018. Once out, it will finally replace the current-generation model which has been around since 2011.
