Peugeot unveils the new 508, introduces First Edition premium series

The next-generation Peugeot 508 has been shown to the media during the first press day of the Geneva Motor Show. The series-ready model is exhibited right next to the high-end First Edition which comes with higher-quality trimming, different exterior design and a minimum price tag of €48,750.

The new Peugeot 508 liftback utilizes the EMP2 modular car platform. It is slightly smaller and weighs 70 kg (~154 lbs.) less than the model currently on the market. The First Edition series comes with additional crimson red and royal blue color choices, as well as a set of designer-made 19” wheels.

The interior of the Peugeot 508 First Edition makes use of expensive leather, Alcantara and precious wood. Its pedals are overlaid with aluminum pads, and its steps bear exclusive First Edition logos. Other advantages include a digital instrument panel, an advanced infotainment system with a large touchscreen, a night vision system and more.

The new Peugeot 508 First Edition will soon enter the showrooms in Europe with a choice between a turbocharged V4 engine capable of 225 hp and a 2.0L diesel good for 180 hp.
