Picasso PS-01 reaches production, changes name to 660 LMS

Picasso, a budding supercar manufacturer, has delivered on its promise by evolving its PS-01 Concept (see video) into a series of supercars named the 660 LMS. Only 21 units will be pieced together and offered starting from €820,000.

The road-and-track weapon was an in-house development start to finish, the company claims. It comes based on an ultralight chassis with loads of carbon fiber used and tips the scales at 980 kilograms (2,160 pounds).

A 3.0-liter Autotecnica Motori V6 drives the wheels with 660 PS (651 hp / 485 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque through a Sadev sequential transmission.

However, the automaker emphasizes that the engine is not the biggest highlight of the supercar. Much of its outstanding performance is granted by an aerodynamic kit consisting of a large front splitter, an adjustable rear wing, a diffuser and other components. Accelerating to 315 km/h (195 mph) unlocks the maximum downforce, which amounts to 960 kilograms (2,116 pounds).
