Stellantis’ idea of an original SEMA show car is, apparently, an electromod.
The company has teamed up with Mopar to transform just one 1967 Plymouth GTX into a battery ride. It ditched the stock 7.2-liter Hemi V8 and put the internals of the latest Dodge Charger Daytona EV in its place.
The result is a car that has 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW) heading for the wheels and 73 kilowatt-hours of power storage for 402 km (250 miles) of range per charge. 400V internals should keep charging times to a minimum, the company says.
On the down side of things, the result weighs 417 kilos (920 pounds) more than the original. It does look nice with pristine bodywork and not a bit of chrome in sight, though.
