The creator of this remarkable restomod calls it the Hellcuda, and for a good reason: the exotic pony contains a 6.2-liter supercharged Hellcat V8 under the hood.
The engine stems from a five-year-old Dodge car and links to a 4L60 Hydra-Matic four-speed automatic. Sports suspension and an upgraded rear axle make sure most of the 707 PS (697 hp / 520 kW) gets transferred to the asphalt.
Exterior changes also deserve a mention, of course. The entire front fascia comes from a 1971 ‘Cuda (the restomod itself is an older 1970 model), 19-inch Ferrada wheels fill out the arches, and Wilwood brakes ensure adequate deceleration. Aerodynamic louvers reside on the rear window, and an SRT trunk spoiler rounds things off at the rear end. The body and the kit are black, while some parts are chrome.
The inner space is rather modern and makes intensive use of the latest Dodge components and accessories, including leather sport seats with five-point harnesses. Purists may rant, but let us not forget that restomodding stands for ‘restoration and modernization’; evidently, the car owner felt like emphasizing the latter part.
