A 62-year-old Plymouth Fury will soon go on sale in the United States with a couple of features making it stand out from the crowd. For one, it rocks a powerful Sonoramic Commando engine. For another, it comes bundled with a Herter motorboat painted to match.
The original Fury is a two-door hardtop convertible adorned with a vivid livery (red and white in this case) with fin-like aerodynamic parts and an original front end design. Powering each is a 5.9-liter V8 with two carburetors and 310 PS (306 hp / 228 kW) at the crank. A TorqueFlite three-speed auto transmission sends he power to the wheels. The trim level of the car on sale adds power brakes and a button-based radio, among other things.
The boat shares the color scheme with the car and even sports the same fin-like attachments. Its outboard motor propels it forward with 35 PS (35 hp / 26 kW).
The auction holder expects the whole to go for U.S. $45,000–55,000.
