51-year-old Plymouth Road Runner goes up for nearly $300,000

Wisconsin-based auto shop Late Model Throttle came to the last year’s SEMA show with a surprisingly well restored and outfitted Plymouth Road Runner coupe dubbed the Hellrunner. The car is now looking for a new owner.

The asking price of $295,900 only looks exorbitant until you consider the mods that went into it. The restomod runs on a supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 that pumps out 765 hp (570 kW) and links to a six-speed Borg Warner T-56 and RWD. A Wavetrac differential, RMS suspension and Wilwood front brakes ensure a modern driving experience.

The vintage coupe also boasts an orange body, American Racing wheels and an interior makeover with new seats, steering wheel and safety cage.

The odometer shows around 600 kilometers (400 miles) of post-upgrade use.
