Carmaker Polestar has not come to the Goodwood Festival of Speed empty-handed, instead bringing along an experimental Polestar 2-based prototype with far-reaching exterior and technical modifications.
For reasons undisclosed, the model now churns out 476 PS (469 hp / 350 kW) to the wheels instead of the usual 408 PS (402 hp / 300 kW). It also benefits from a wider track, a 25mm (1”) reduction in ride height, Öhlins adjustable shocks, stiffer suspension springs, and six-piston brake calipers at the front.
As far as the looks are concerned, this particular Polestar 2 boasts a sporty-looking stripe running along its body, black side mirror caps, blacked-out bumpers and radiator grille, and 21-inch wheels wrapped in special tires.
Piloted by Polestar engineer Joachim Rydholm, the EV will participate in a hill climb race this weekend.
