The refreshed Polestar 2 has new exterior features and tech to show for being the more up-to-date EV.
Perhaps most importantly, the car now makes use of a new chemical composition for its traction battery cells. The new battery pack can hold up to 69 kWh of energy and yields 474 kilometers (294.5 miles) of WLTP-rated driving range. This is 34 km (21 miles) more than in the pre-facelift version.
Charging is now slightly faster, and the electric motor now maxes out at 228 PS (225 hp / 168 kW) instead of 224 PS (221 hp / 165 kW).
Last but not least, the industrial complex making the Polestar 2 is now friendlier to the environment than before. In particular, the battery production plant has been switched to renewable energy sources, the marque reports proudly.
As far as the looks are concerned, the EV is now available in a new standard color called Magnesium and two premium finishes dubbed Space and Jupiter. The wheels have been retouched, too.
