Polestar, a joint Swedish-Chinese automotive marque, has come to Auto China bringing along its Precept vehicle. The company posted the first photos of the car back in February, but never confirmed until now that it was becoming a production model.
When the Precept hits the assembly lines, it will primarily need to compete against the Tesla Model S and the Lucid Air.
Technical details are scant, but the manufacturer points out extensive use of recycled materials in the cabin, including seats made from plastic bottles.
A still-to-be-constructed environmentally clean factory in China will handle the production. Polestar claims the site will be one of the world’s cleanest and most technologically advanced manufacturing locations.
