A 48-year-old Pontiac Firebird Trans Am gets restomod treatment

Professional car tuner Riley Stair has finished working on a restomod of the 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.

The full list of changes is too large to give it here, so let’s just have a look at the highlights. The car sports a custom, hand-crafted body, a four-speed manual transmission, and a 6.5-liter Motor Machine LSX V8 rated at 600 hp (447 kW).

The vehicle also boasts independent (i.e. per-wheel) suspension in the back, as well as a completely unique suspension design in the front, featuring components from Ohlins, Eibach, and Speedway.

On the inside, the Pontiac Firebird Trans Am restomod by Riley Stair houses a custom gear shifter with Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s autograph inscribed on it.
