German car tuners are generally renowned throughout the world for their well-designed and reliable builds. This explains why we could not believe our eyes upon seeing this atrocity being offered for sale at Autoplatz Nader.
The car is essentially a classical Pontiac Firebird in its Trans Am version, although you will be forgiven for failing to see that. Reportedly, someone in Germany came up with the body kit – and ‘bad’ simply doesn’t do it justice. Whether the crumpled-looking front with its six ugly square headlamps, the tapir nose mimicking as the hood, or the overcomplicated sides – everything here screams of lack of professionalism. The rear end really takes the cake, though, with its silly raised look and a rear wing that might as well originate from a LEGO brick set. The near-stock looking taillights and exhaust tips do little to save the situation.
We are willing to praise the interior design – ever so modestly – for being relatively clean and uncluttered. Things could be better, sure, but they could absolutely be worse.
The ride draws its power from a 6.6-liter non-turbo V8 good for 217 hp (162 kW), which links to a three-speed automatic transmission. Acceleration and mileage stats are not available.
Oh, and if you think this rare gem is underappreciated, you could grab it for mere… €12,500? Yes, that’s the asking price.
