German car manufacturer Porsche has launched Porsche Classic Vehicle Tracking, an innovative car anti-theft system designed for its classic models. The system enables you to track the movements of your vehicle from anywhere in the world and is already available in certain countries in Europe.
You begin by requesting a password to the Porsche Classic Vehicle Tracking mobile app. The app then enables you to find out the car’s whereabouts, cap its maximum allowed speed, limit its movement to a certain geographic location or lock the engine altogether. You get an instant notification if any of the conditions are broken.
The app also enables you to review the latest route travelled and quickly locate the car in a parking area. Whenever you need your vehicle relocated to a new area or brought in for maintenance, you can tell the Porsche Classic Vehicle Tracking system to suspend some of its functions.
