Car spotters have managed to pin down an all-electric Porsche Taycan SUV cruising along public roads with hardly any camouflage wrapping on. The model will only debut in September and arrive in the showrooms in late 2019, so let us take a closer look at it while we can.
The headlights are the only part of the new car that remains hidden from prying eyes. Other than that, it is obvious that the manufacturer is testing final production copies of the Taycan EV.
In terms of overall design, the new Porsche SUV looks a lot like the Mission E Concept the company introduced over three years ago. Look for similarities in the recessed headlights and original taillights.
The front and rear aprons look surprisingly aggressive for a production vehicle, the former sporting a splitter add-on and the latter incorporating a massive diffuser.
Porsche says the all-electric Taycan will sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.5 seconds (in the Turbo version) and offer around 500 kilometers (310 miles) of range once charged to the max.
