Emory Motorsports weaves two Porsche designs from different eras into one

The North American tuner team over at Emory Motorsports has finished working on a unique Porsche 356 RSR hot rod based on two Porsche vehicles, a 1990 964 C2 and a 1960 356B T5. The project took four years to complete.

The brutal-looking Porsche 356 RSR sports a matte black finish and comes powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that churns out 393 horsepower (293 kilowatts). Do not be misled by the seemingly mediocre numbers, though: with a curb weight of just 884 kilograms (1,950 pounds), the hot rod is more than capable.

Emory Motorsports does not go into specifics such as standard acceleration times, but these must be really good, considering the impressive power-to-weight ratio of the vehicle.

The scope of the project is mind-blowing, given that the tuner had to take the best parts of the Porsche 356B T5 and 964 C2, find a way to put them together, and then make it all work with the help of a custom engine and transmission. The all-new radiator grille, hood, bumpers, roof and numerous other exterior parts are just a tip of the iceberg that is the Emory Porsche 356 RSR.
